Supermoto Touring

My current objective; to get my 2001 KTM 520 EXC (supermoto setup) overhauled, and ready for a tour out to Broken Hill, NSW.

On 19th February 2017, I’ll be heading out on a 7-day tour to the far west limits of NSW, Australia. Exciting huh? Well yes, but the issue is… At this point in time, I only have my 2016 Yamaha R1 registered and ride-able.

I decided that I needed something that’d handle the dirt better than my beloved superbike… I cast my gaze around the garage, and my gaze settled on my estranged KTM 520 EXC… It was time I repaired our relationship, and gave this girl the love she so desperately needed.

… And so begins a five week project, to get her ready for an approximate 2500km, round trip.

For this project, I am beginning with the tasks that need urgent attention… Starting with the spark plug!
